Skipass Røldal Skisenter
Here you will find a lot of loose snow and good powder conditions. Normal snow depth is between 3 and 5 meters. Røldal has one of the most snow-safe ski resorts in Norway, and is suitable for both beginners and the more hardy skiers.
The chairlift transports guests up to 1000 meters above sea level, where there are beautiful views of the valley, steep mountains and the rest of the ski resort.
There is also a café, a beginner lift and a great area for picnics and play in the snow.
In addition to the chairlift and the beginner lift, there are two plate lifts, two t-hook lifts and a terrain park. Two of these transport you up to 1300 meters above sea level, where kilometers upon kilometers of cross-country trails or wonderful powder trails await.
The entire ski center is located above the tree line, so you are not tied to narrow trails in the forest, but can frolic exactly where you want in the mountains!
The beginner area in Røldal is safe for the little ones, and has its own lift. A long hill suitable for beginners goes from the middle station, something that also makes the inexperienced skiers a nice experience.
All children under the age of seven ride for free using a helmet. Helmets can be borrowed for free in ski rental.
In cooperation with Trolltunga Active, Røldal Ski Center offers ski and snowboard instructors, skischool level 1 and 2, and off pist/off track tours.
Røldal Skisenter has a capacity of 5680 people per hour, and you can get from the bottom to the top in 10 minutes.
The season normally lasts from the turn of the month November / December to the second weekend in May.
