Telemark Skiing Intro Day

If you are interested to learn the Telemark skiing style, join up for our introduction course at Røldal Skiresort. Telemark skiing is a challenging skiing style to master, but mater sliding down the hillsides with this graceful style feels fantastic!Telemark skiing combines elements of Alpine and Nordic skiing. A combination that is perfect if you want to challenge longer alpine ski tours. The style are using 'free heel' bindings which don't fix your heel to the ski. Turnings with both knees flexed forward, one behind the other, as the skier goes into a turn, giving the view of skier lowering himself down onto the ski going in, then rising up coming out of it.

Adventure information:

Meet up 10.00 at the skinrental of Røldal Skisenter to test and to adjust the equipment. And for an introduction to the planned course.

We will spend the day testing different techniques and exercises. The level of training will be adjusted to the skiing experience of the participants.

Maks 6 persons per guide.

Duration approx. 2-3 hours


Requirements:

Normal alpine skiing experience, but new to the Telemark Skiing style.

Good physical condition.

Please inform us of any medical conditions like asthma, epilepsy etc.

Min. age: 10 yrs.

Children at the age of 10-13 years must be accompanied with adults.


Equipment:

Telemark skis, shoes and skipoles.


You need to bring:

- backpack 40L

- food for the day + water

- snacks

- warm and waterproof clothes

Recommended clothing: Wollen underwear, ski pants and jacket, hat, gloves and neck warmer. Don’t forget to protect your neck and your head from the cold


Price:

1200 NOK pp.

Family/group up to 6 persons on requests.:

4500 NOK


The price includes the guide, telemark skis, shoes and skipoles.

The skilift ticket are not included in the price.

Minimum group 2 persons or payment of 2 persons.
