Try kayaking on mountain lake surrounded by Norwegian mountains, glacier and waterfalls.

We start with an introduction to the equipment, safety brief and adjusting the kayaks to make you comfortable. When you gain the confidence to control the kayak, you are ready to start THE adventure! We start the trip towards the nearest waterfall - Strondsfossen. The kayak paddle gently splashes mountain water as you enjoy the lake’s small bays and creeks. Of course, you should remember to look around, not to miss the unique scenes surrounding you - the Buer glacier in Folgefonna National Park, steep mountain sides and traditional farmhouses!

Halfway through the tour, your guide will find a place on the shore for a needed lunch stop to stretch your legs while listening to stories about nature and culture in Norway. As the Norwegian weather is unpredictable, you can never know exactly what conditions you get. Even if the water is calm and quiet in the morning, the wind can pick up during the day and you must put in more effort on the way back. Either way, your guide is there to assess the conditions and to support you all the way!

We organise the tours in the winter for those who want to experience the Norwegian winter on their own skin. Join us for a tour in the snowy, frozen landscape to discover the winter wonders. Remember to bring extra warm clothes!

Rain is not a problem when it comes to the kayak-tours, kayaking is the perfect activity to do in the rain. We will let you know as soon as possible if we must cancel the tour due to weather conditions.

If we cancel due to weather you can choose to join another day, another activity or get a full refund. If it is too wavy for the kayak it means it is even more fun for the rib-tour!
