Journey from the fjord to waterfall and Norway's largest fruit garden either in blossom or harvest.
From the quiet and frozen winter landscape covered in a sprinkle of white waiting for another season to come. During the spring you get to see how nature wakes up back to life, everything turning green and the fruit trees in its full blossom. The blossom normally last around one month, starting late April or early May depending on a warm or a cold spring.
In the summer and early autumn, the farmers are out picking the gifts from the trees starting with cherries and plums, then later apples and pears. In the autumn the colors change again, and the mountain sides are glowing in yellow, orange and red.
The hike takes us through the orchards into the deep Norwegian forest and up to a stunning viewpoint over the village. Here you get served a light lunch enjoying the silence and stunning view. What is in the lunch is depending on the season, but we can tell that no matter when you choose to go you will get “A taste of Norway.” After our break we find our way back down to the fjord. 12 am. Meet the guide and travel companions at the reception at Hotel Ullensvang, Ullensvangvegen 865, 5781 Lofthus.
