The hike is 28 km back and forth. The hike takes approximately 10 hours depending on  the hikers physical condition.

The furthest you can drive is Mågelitopp (see question about Mågelitopp). Please note: Only a limited number of parking is available there.
The public parking lot is located in Skjeggedal by the Trolltunga Active base. A Trolltunga Shuttle runs up to Mågelitopp during summer.

The long-term forecast can be unpredictable. We tend to only rely on the forecast 2-3 days in advance.

We very rarely have weather severe enough to cancel during the peak part of the summer season. We consider cancelling if we have combined heavy rain and cold. We also cancel if severe thunderstorms are forecast.

The via ferrata will be cancelled if there is a thunderstorm forecasted, or large amounts of rain.

The winter expedition might be cancelled if the weather is extremely cold and windy or if we have dangerous avalanche conditons.

If the weather is bad, but not enough to cancel in advance you meet up as normal. The guide will inform the guests about the conditions on the mountain and ask if you still want to hike or move your booking to another day. The guide might also explain that there is a chance of not getting to Trolltunga due to the weather.

If Trolltunga Active cancel the hike, you will be refunded or given the oppertunity to reschedule to another day that still has places available.

If you decide to hike and have to turn around there is no refund.

If you choose not to hike and do not move the booking then there is no refund.
