Explore fjords of Norway on speed boat and taste the Hardanger cider

Welcome to this adventure, combining the best of two worlds - a fjordcruise on the Hardangerfjord and the sparkling gold of Hardanger: the locally produced apple cider.

The well-known Hardanger apples have been pressed andprocessed to perfection for generations. The earliest documentation of fruitgrowing in Norway dates all the way back to the 13th century. It is believed that the Cistercian monks were the first to plant apple trees in Norway.

In recent years, however, the popularity, quality, and standard of Hardanger Cider have reached new heights. The product has won multiple awards both nationally and internationally. Like “Champagne,” “Cider from Hardanger” is a geographicallyprotected brand name. The cider, fermented from apple juice, is characterized by its light, sour and aromatic apple taste.

Choose your departre from either Odda or Lofthus- the tour starts with historical fjord safari along the Hardangerfjord - a fjord filled with living cultural heritage, surrounded by massive mountains clad in glacier ice - you will see different attractions, spots of wildlife, and our professional guide will tell fascinating natural- and cultural stories from the area.

The boat trip leads you to Nå, a village with some of the best and most famous cider producers of Hardanger.

Arriving at Nå, you can choose among visiting 3 different ciderfarms - you choose the farm as 'addon' when placing your booking.

The farmer will meet you at the harbour of Siderhuset Ola K restaurant, and guide you trough the fruitgardens at Nå and arriving at their farm.

At each farm You are welcome to join their guided tours around the farm, learn about the production, and tastings their outstanding products.

Arita Åkre

Edel Sider - Arita and Gjermund Åkre run Åkre farm with fruit production in steep terrain. They have award-winning Sider products and innovative fruit distillates. Several of their Sider products are served in renowned Michelin restaurants in Norway and abroad.

Eirik Nå

Store Nå Siderkompani - Welcome to Store Naa Cider Tour, the combination of cider tasting, walking in cultural landscape and local history. Tour starts at 12:00 or 15:00 by the doc at Nå. You will have a beautiful walk to the farm, Store Naa. Cider tasting and introduction to cider history and cider culture at the farm.

Olav Bleie

Alde Sider - Alde is an old name for apple in Hardanger, and Olav Bleie now runs Alde sider and the family garden where apples have been grown since the fruit first came to the fjord.

At Bleie gard you can taste 3 ciders in combination with a sample of selected products (cheese, cured meats etc.), accompanied by good historians and a tour of the cidery.

After the farmvisit, if time, another highlight, enjoy a lunch or dinner at the restaurant Siderhuset Ola K
