About the activity

Trolltunga Via Ferrata and Tyssedal Via Ferrata are privately owned Via Ferratas and we kindly ask you to follow the requirements set by Trolltunga Active for your own and other users' safety. Payment of maintenance fee can be done in Trolltunga Active base on P2 in Skjeggedal. Rental gear is available at the same place.

TROLLTUNGA Via Ferrata start the hike to the Via Ferrata from P2 in Skjeggedal. The tour starts with 6 km walk on a gravel road followed by 1 km steep uphill hiking to the start of the Via Ferrata. Length of Via Ferrata is 350 m. From the top to Trolltunga its approximately 3 km hiking. You will get a more detailed description from the one in the store when you pick up the equipment and/or pay the maintenance fee. It is only one line in the climb. To avoid complications in the wall, you must climb up before 2pm. If returning down the Via Ferrata this should be done after 3pm.

TYSSEDAL Via Ferrata start the hike from Kraftmuseet in Tyssedal, or from the Church in Tyssedal. This is a historical climb. We highly recommended to visit Kraftmuseet before climbing: www.kraftmuseet.no
